Rory grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK when he was 21 to expand his horizons and travel opportunities. He landed in London and spent 10 years living in the city but gradually moved North, settling in the North East 14 years ago.

Rory’s interests include most sports, GA flying and photography and he enjoys gardening and DIY. He is a keen runner and is a member of Elvet Striders, his local running club. He also is a member of the local triathlon club and he enjoys kitesurfing on the beautiful North East coast. He has recently achieved a lifelong goal of gaining his private pilots licence. Rory is also a parent governor of his local primary school.

Business Experience

Rory has built his experience and knowledge primarily through career learning opportunities and he has a wide range of experience, from running his own photographic business to IT and banking. Rory’s main motivation is his desire to help others succeed and through his varied career he has gained a significant amount of knowledge and experience, which coupled with his natural ability to find solutions to problems gives him the perfect toolbox to achieve this.

Rory has an extensive professional network in the North East business community and uses this network to assist his clients where they may need additional support outside of the scope of accelerateNEbusiness. This is done on a warm introduction basis with no renumeration agreement.
